Saint-Raphaël (often written as St Raphaël) is a French apéritif made from mistelle and cinchona, launched at the end of the 19th century.
The brand's legend traces it back to 1830 and Dr. Adémar Juppet; historically, it was the Lyonnais industrialist Pierre-Marie Juppet who truly marketed it around 1890. There are two versions: the Rouge (red wine base, fuller-bodied, notes of cherry, cocoa, orange peel) and the Blanc / Ambré (white wine base, sweeter, vanilla, cocoa, bitter orange).
The two silhouettes of waiters (red and white) date back to 1932 and became the brand's advertising emblem, widely featured on posters, signs, and objects like this card. The brand still exists today (La Martiniquaise group).
