This reproduction glass is one of the most interesting of all antique absinthe glasses. Although it resembles a French Champagne coupe, this glass was made specifically for use with absinthe.

This glass is made to the same measurements as an original coupe glass, including its reservoir. The reservoir is the bottom part of the glass used to measure the amount of absinthe to be added. In addition to helping the bartender know the exact amount of absinthe to pour, the reservoir lets the customer know it is an honest pour. The size of the reservoir generally correlates with the size of the glass used, as the water-to-absinthe ratio varies by drinker (typically 3 to 5 parts water to 1 part absinthe). The reservoir of this "glass" holds 25 ml, which is standard for an absinthe glass of this size.

This is a machine-molded glass, making it thick and sturdy - ideal for heavy use in a bar or restaurant.

  • Machine-molded glass.
  • Measures 8.6 cm in diameter and 14.6 cm in height.
  • The glass holds 23.6 cl.
  • The reservoir holds approximately 25 ml.
